Former Metropolitan Police officer, David Carrick, has been accused of raping a woman and indecently assaulting a child in court today.

The 50-year-old has denied eight sexual offences, which include five counts of indecent assault in relation to the child, between April 9, 1989 and April 8, 1990.

The girl was under 14 and Carrick was between 14 and 15 at the time those alleged offences took place in Salisbury, Wiltshire.

Carrick also denies two charges of rape, one of sexual assault and a further charge of controlling or coercive behaviour in relation to a woman in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.
