The father of an NYPD officer who was shot dead in a Manhattan skyscraper had a stroke after learning the horrific news.
Didarul Islam, 33, was working security at the midtown office building when he was shot dead by 27-year-old Shane Tamura.
His family told the New York Post that Islam's pregnant wife was also so distraught Islam's murder that she was taken to the hospital on Tuesday morning.
'They are all crying,' Islam's cousin Muhammad Mainul Islam said.
'There is no brother, only him. The family is really feeling a big problem. His wife had the doctor’s appointment. I heard one police officer from the precinct, she took [her] to the hospital.'
