Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka urged the Union government to immediately clear the 42% BC reservation Bills, stating that delaying the Bills would harm the weaker sections in the State. He added that the State Cabinet, MLAs and MLCs would soon visit New Delhi to press for the approval of the Bills.
Addressing a public meeting in Tandur on Tuesday, he said, “I appeal to the Centre to clear the Bills for the benefit of BCs. If they keep the Bills pending, it will severely impact the interests of BCs.”
Assuring the public, the Deputy CM said there’s no need to panic over Indiramma housing bills. “The government will pay the bills week by week, based on the amount of construction completed,” he said. Mr. Bhatti Vikramarka also slammed the previous BRS government for ‘ignoring housing’ and declared that with the return of the Indiramma Rajyam, house construction had resumed rapidly.
Across the State, 4.5 lakh houses are being built at a cost of ₹22,500 crore, with 3,500 houses allocated per constituency. The goal is to ensure housing for all the poor. Stating that the State government is committed to transforming education to a level where even private institutions cannot compete, the Deputy CM said, “We take responsibility for your children.”
