The commander of the IDF's Nahal Brigade, Maj. Arik Moyal, has rescinded the prison sentence given handed out to three combatants who refused to fight in the Gaza Strip.
The IDF stated that "During a conversation [with the soldiers], the Brigade Commander expressed his appreciation to the combatants for their actions in the war, while also emphasizing that combatants in a time of war are expected to maintain military discipline and carry out their mission – fighting on the battlefield. Given the unique circumstances, and as an act of leniency, the Nahal Brigade Commander decided to commute the sentence."
