Dramatic photos shared online show the blood-stained assault rifle gunman Shane Tamura used to open fire inside a Midtown Manhattan skyscraper, killing an officer and three others.
The 27-year-old gunman was caught on surveillance footage ahead of the shooting Monday evening wearing a sport coat and button-down shirt while carrying the large rifle near the office building that houses Blackstone asset management and the NFL on Monday evening.
The weapon, manufactured by Palmetto State Armory, has since been obtained by the New York Police Department.
Photos show it was modified with a scope, flashlight, and a tactical sling. Blood could also be seen on its hilt.
Tamura opened fire inside the skyscraper at 345 Park Avenue at around 6.30pm, with approximately 30 people inside, before he reportedly took his own life.
