A delegation of the Shiv Sena (UBT) party, led by MLC Ambadas Danve, met Governor C. P. Radhakrishnan on Monday (July 28, 2025) and demanded the immediate dismissal of “tainted” and “corrupt” Ministers and MLAs in the ruling Mahayuti alliance.

The delegation submitted a memorandum to the governor, underlining several incidents of misconduct by several Ministers in the State Cabinet and providing evidence of the same.

“We provided the Governor with a pendrive and other documents as evidence while demanding the resignation of these ministers,” said Mr. Danve after the meeting.

For the past few days, Maharashtra has witnessed a slew of controversies involving Mahayuti Ministers, including Sanjay Shirsat, Manikrao Kokate, Yogesh Kadam, and Nitesh Rane. The opposition raised allegations of corruption concerning irregularities in land acquisition by the Mira-Bhayandar Municipal Corporation, the honey trap case, and insensitive remarks by Nitesh Rane and Manikrao Kokate.
