Multiple people were injured July 28 in a shooting at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada.

The suspect was shot by police and taken to the hospital, authorities said. Police confirmed that they received an emergency call around 7:25 a.m. and arrived at the property within three minutes, quickly encountering the suspect.

The suspect’s condition was not immediately available. The number of victims and severity of injuries have not been confirmed.

The incident began outside near the valet area and may have extended to other parts of the property, police said.

Authorities said there is no ongoing threat to the public.
