Israeli authorities have approved three large-scale settlement expansion projects in Ma’ale Adumim, an Israeli settlement built on occupied Palestinian land east of Jerusalem, according to the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, a Palestinian government body, cited by the International Middle East Media Centre.
The plans could see the construction of more than 3,100 new housing units and aims to create full geographical continuity between Ma’ale Adumim and the nearby industrial zone of Mishor Adumim. Both areas are located in the occupied West Bank between Jerusalem, Jericho, and the Jordan Valley.
