The problem of starvation in Gaza is not new. It's the result of the prolonged humanitarian crisis that has been ongoing since the war began. The problem worsened when Israel banned the entry of food into Gaza in early March and escalated when Israel broke the cease-fire on March 18, launching Operation Gideon's Chariots that uprooted hundreds of thousands of more people.
