Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin was discharged from Apollo Hospitals in Chennai on Sunday (July 27, 2025) evening, after undergoing a therapeutic procedure on July 24.
In a social media post, Mr. Stalin said he had returned home safely. He thanked political party leaders, elected representatives, judges, government officials, actors, and the people of Tamil Nadu, who wished for his good health. He also thanked the doctors and nurses who were involved in his treatment. “I will continue to discharge my duties for your welfare!” he added.
A press release issued by the hospital said the Chief Minister had “successfully recovered from the therapeutic procedure done by the expert team under Dr. Sengottuvelu,” and was declared fit for discharge. He has been advised to resume his normal routine after three days.

Mr. Stalin was admitted to Apollo Hospitals, Greams Road, on July 21 after he experienced giddiness during his routine morning walk. He underwent a series of investigations, including an angiogram.
