The 2017 World Nine-Ball champion, Biado looked in control early on, building a comfortable 9-2 lead, but American Gorst stormed back to level the match 9-9.
But the 41-year-old Biado ultimately prevailed — defeating last year’s champion to win the championship for the second time in his career in a tense final and in front of a large number of Filipino fans.
It was a magical moment in the Green Halls arena as Biado created history by becoming the first Filipino player to win two world titles and send the crowd wild.
