After conducting searches at several places in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh border areas for more than two weeks, the Police on Saturday (July 26, 2025) said they have arrested the lone accused, who is from Assam, in sexual assault on a minor girl in Tiruvallur district.
On July 12, a minor girl was abducted and raped by an unknown male in a mango grove in Arambakkam, Thiruvallur District, while she was returning from school. The child was under the care of her grandmother in Arambakkam since her parents live in the bordering Andhra Pradesh.
