Metaireau believes that exercising without a device can enhance focus and awareness. Whether walking, swimming or stretching, moving without distractions encourages attention.

Learning unfamiliar activities such as dancing, baking or crafting can stimulate the brain and provide a sense of engagement and motivation, she said.

Metaireau also said that incorporating quiet practices like meditation, breathwork or time in nature can support nervous system regulation and mental clarity.
