HyderabadGovernor Jishnu Dev Varma prorogued both the Houses of Telangana Legislature on Thursday.The Governor prorogued the fifth session of the third Legislative Assembly, which commenced on March 12, according to a notification issued by Secretary to the State Legislature V. Narasimha Charyulu.He also prorogued the 23rd session of the Legislative Council, a separate notification said.The proroguing of the Assembly is being viewed as the first step to bring an ordinance to enhance reservations for Backward Classes (BCs) to 42% in local bodies.
