Suspect in his 30s threatened store worker and cab driver with beef knife while clad in trash bag, source says

Hong Kong police are searching for a man in his 30s, described as non-Chinese and clad in a trash bag, after he allegedly robbed a convenience store in Tin Shui Wai before stealing a taxi, the Post has learned.

Police first received a report of the suspect robbing the convenience store with a beef knife during the early hours of Friday, according to a source familiar with the case.

A subsequent report was filed about a taxi being allegedly stolen by the same suspect, the source added.

The first victim was a 52-year-old convenience store worker, while the second was a 44-year-old taxi driver.
