Launching a public rally to mark the International Day Against Drug Abuse here on Thursday, Minister for Transport and Youth Services Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy called the drug menace “more dangerous than an atom bomb.”
The Minister called on the public to immediately report any drug-related activity to the police on the toll-free number 1972. Mr. Ramprasad Reddy, along with District Collector Sridhar Chamakuri and Superintendent of Police (SP) V. Vidyasagar Naidu, flagged off an awareness rally at the Shiva Temple Circle, which passed through the main thoroughfares of the town.
