Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani on Wednesday announced that a group of 11 Palestinians, including two doctors, was on its way from Gaza to Italy.
"We managed to get 11 more people out of Gaza," Tajani told reporters on the sidelines of the NATO summit in the Hague.
"All this was possible thanks to the good cooperation we have with the government of Israel and the Jordanian government.
"They are now in Amman, tomorrow they will be in Italy".
Hundreds of Palestinians have come to Italy since the outbreak of war between Israel and Hamas and scores of Palestinian children have been treated in Italian hospitals.
