Earlier, the police had arrested as many as 12 persons, including the alleged kingpin of the scam. The police also named middlemen, who were allegedly blocking seats to sell to their clients for as much as ₹60 lakh, in the charge sheet.
Officials of the Enforcement Directorate searched 18 premises allegedly linked to the engineering seat blocking scam in private engineering colleges, in Bengaluru on June 25.
