Donald Trump has vented his fury at Israel and Iran, accusing both of violating a ceasefire he brokered with them last night.

The ceasefire agreement appears in tatters just hours after coming into effect, with the warring arch enemies accusing one another of launching strikes on each other this morning.

Israel has said it is preparing to 'respond forcefully' with 'intense strikes' on 'the heart' of the Iranian capital.

Trump appeared to warn it against targeting Tehran, writing on Truth Social: 'ISRAEL. DO NOT DROP THOSE BOMBS. IF YOU DO IT IS A MAJOR VIOLATION. BRING YOUR PILOTS HOME, NOW!'

Trump earlier warned the warring sides to not to violate the ceasefire last night, declaring that it marked a new chapter of 'world peace'.
