Israel reportedly does not want to enter a long war, setting out to quickly achieve all military objectives and return to the negotiating table with Iran to bring an end to its nuclear program, according to Arab and Israeli officials who spoke with The Wall Street Journal

Israel is interested in halting its miliary campaign in Iran soon, according to Israeli and Arab officials who spoke to The Wall Street Journal on Monday.

Israeli officials reportedly told the publication that the Israel Defense Forces expect to achieve all military objectives set for the operation, creating an opening that will enable Israel to finish fighting Iran.

The WSJ also reported that the U.S. told Arab officials that Israel will want to end its military operations soon, according to Arab officials they spoke with, who added that Israel has asked for that message to be passed along to Iran.

Iran said it would most likely respond to the American attack on its soil that took place overnight into Sunday, according to the Arab officials the Wall Street Journal spoke to.
