Rescue teams are battling to save a stranded Brazilian pole dancer after she plunged 1,000 ft at Indonesia's second highest volcano.

Juliana Marins, 26, was trekking up Mount Rinjani when she slipped and fell from a hiking trail early morning on June 21.

The young woman, who works as a publicist and pole dancer, screamed as she plummeted off the edge overlooking the volcano's famous crater lake.

Shocking drone footage shows Ms Marins cowering on a slope as she waits to be rescued.

She was said to have rolled 984 ft down the steep hill before coming to a stop in a rocky ravine.
