The Forest Department on Sunday placed a cage at a tea estate in Pachamalai near Valparai to trap a leopard that killed a four-year-old girl on Friday.
The cage was placed near a small forest patch in the tea estate, around 700 metres off the line houses of estate workers, where the girl was attacked by a leopard around 6.30 p.m. on Friday.
