NEW YORK - On Thursday, the day in which president Donald Trump announced a window of two weeks to decide whether or not to intervene in Iran, Stephen K. Bannon — who leads the front against the US intervention in this war — was seen entering the White House to meet with the president for lunch, where he is said to have stayed for three hours. We talked with the former Trump’s former election strategist yesterday morning, before he went online with his show War Room.
What did you talk about with President Trump?
«I don't want to talk about personal conversations, but as you can tell by what we've been doing on the show we think it's very wise to do what he's done, which is to take a couple of weeks to look at other alternatives, to pursue any possibility of a deal that the ayatollah will live up to — and let Steve Witkoff do that — and focus on trying to get a peaceful resolution with diplomacy, even if it is coercive diplomacy. Something that also should not be lost is that he is looking at alternatives to make sure that - if there's a military option needed to make sure they don't get The Bomb - that it’s actually going to work. And it's going to be so over one time. He's not going to get involved in regime change. He's already said that there's not going to be assassination or taking out the Ayatollah. And here's the thing: that Netanyahu has tried to force this situation».
