On the same day that a hospital in southern Israel was struck by Iran, Israel's prime minister said that the war took a toll on his family and that his wife is a 'hero,' adding that he would be 'happy to have more interceptors' against Iran's ballistic missiles
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Thursday that every Israeli citizen bears a personal cost due to the war with Iran, and cited the cancellation of his son Avner's wedding as an example.
"The war has not spared my family," he said while visiting Be'er Sheva's Soroka Medical Center, which was hit by an Iranian missile that morning.
"This is the second time my son Avner has had to cancel his wedding ceremony due to missile threats and missile strikes, which is indeed a heavy personal price for him, his fiancée and our families."
The Israeli prime minister also said that his wife, Sara Netanyahu, is a "hero," adding that she has been suffering personal consequences for years.
