President Donald Trump is weighing a possible U.S. attack on Iran, saying Thursday he plans to make a decision in the next two weeks.
“Based on the fact that there’s a substantial chance of negotiations that may or may not take place with Iran in the near future, I will make my decision whether or not to go within the next two weeks,” Trump said in a statement read by Karoline Leavitt during her press briefing.
The president left this week’s G7 summit in Canada early to focus his attention on the escalating crisis.

Trump has held several meetings in the White House Situation Room this week with senior advisers.
