The Kalakkad police have detained seven persons when they were allegedly planning to orchestrate a retaliatory murder.
Following information about an armed gang camping in an isolated area near Singikulam forest near Kalakkad, a police team, led by Inspector of Kalakkad, Kannan, rushed to the spot. When the members of the gang tried to escape, the police team managed to pick-up seven of them,
They were identified as Nambirajan of Singikulam, Ramasubramanian of Thidiyoor, Aathikrishnan of Vadakku Ariyanayagipuram, Kombaiah of Thoothukudi and three minors.
When they were grilled, they told the police that they were planning to murder a person in retaliation.
