The IDF says that it eliminated a senior Hezbollah commander in southern Lebanon on Tuesday. Yassin Abd al-Mun'im 'Izz al-Din, identified as Hezbollah's artillery commander in the Litani sector, was targeted in an airstrike.

According to the IDF, Azz al-Din was responsible for numerous rocket attacks on northern Israel and was working to rebuild Hezbollah's artillery capabilities, with his actions violating agreements between Israel and Lebanon.

"The IDF continues to monitor and thwart Hezbollah's attempts to advance its readiness to harm the State of Israel under the cover of the war with Iran, and will continue to eliminate any threat posed to the State of Israel," the military added.
