The still unclaimed £208 million EuroMillions winning ticket was sold in Munster, the National Lottery has confirmed.
The record-breaking jackpot was purchased by a single-ticket holder in Tuesday's draw, but the winner has still not come forward to claim the winnings.
The winning numbers in the draw, which had rolled over several times, were 13, 22, 23, 44 and 49, with lucky stars 3 and 5.
This will be Ireland's 18th winner of the EuroMillions jackpot and its largest win.
By Wednesday afternoon, the winner has not yet come forward.
