The University of Madras faced much flak after teachers complained of having found dead lizards in a snack that was served to them during a programme held in the university’s Guindy campus.

The incident happened on the third day of the ongoing training programme, coordinated by the placement cell of the university, under the Naan Mudhalvan scheme. As part of the event, around 100 participants, lecturers from colleges and teachers from schools, have been undergoing training for the past three days to prepare students to face competitive exams.
