The US Ambassador to Israel vowed to be 'the last one to leave' the war-torn nation in an ominous text to Donald Trump amid fears the US is set to enter the conflict with Iran.
Former Arkansas Governor and current Israeli ambassador Mike Huckabee told Trump in the text that he 'will not abandon this post' in Tel Aviv, even as it continues to be bombed by Iran.
He appeared to compare the current moment to 'Truman in 1945' when the US dropped two atomic bombs on Japan to end World War Two.
Trump shared the text on Truth Social yesterday morning in praise of Huckabee and his patriotism.
'My job is to be the last one to leave. I will not abandon this post. Our flag will NOT come down... it is my honor to serve you,' he said.
