The police arrested three autorickshaw drivers from Coimbatore, who extorted money from two migrant workers, after taking them to a deserted place on Tuesday.
Naufal Basha, 29, from Thennampalayam Road at Annur, R. Senthilkumar, 33, from north housing unit at Selvapuram, and K. Mohammed Azharuddin, 25, from Pullukkadu at Ukkadam were arrested on Wednesday, based on a complaint lodged by Mohammed Iqbal, 54, of Karamadai.
