The 26-year-old Canadian actress also has big-screen credits, including in the new slasher Clown in a Cornfield, and in the 2018 true crime film Believe Me: The Abduction of Lisa McVey

Aside from the show’s focus on Georgia and her teenage daughter Ginny, this season fans get a deeper insight into characters such as Abby Littman, played by 26-year-old Canadian actress Katie Douglas. Introduced in season two, Abby is a teenager with dyed red hair, a snarky attitude and a kind heart, who befriends Ginny when she moves to a new school.

Struggling with body image issues, disordered eating and her sexuality in season three, Abby has quickly become a fan favourite. But what do we know about the actress who portrays her? Here’s everything to know about Katie Douglas.

Born in October 1998 in Ontario, Canada, Douglas has been in the entertainment industry since she was six years old. In a 2023 interview with PhotoBook magazine, the actress revealed that, after she appeared in a play at summer camp, she was scouted by one of the parents in the audience who worked as a casting agent.

“It was a [stroke] of luck, I suppose, that my reluctant parents even entertained the idea of signing with an agency, because I learned very quickly that it was an environment that was actually healthy for me. It stuck,” she said.
