It's possible that the IDF's and the Mossad's shining achievement in the campaign against Iran could tip the scales in favor of U.S. intervention in the war. While Israel carried out a painful surprise attack on the Iranian regime in the first days of the war, it gradually looks like as if it is nearing the limits of its capabilities. If so, Jerusalem may soon find itself in a situation in which the strikes on Iran produce diminishing returns.
