Mayor Karen Bass of Los Angeles on Tuesday lifted a nighttime curfew she had imposed last week in the downtown district of the nation’s second-largest city to quell protests over federal immigration raids.
Democrat Karen Bass earlier said the city had ‘reached a tipping point’ after businesses downtown were broken into and robbed.
Karen Bass had instated curfew on 10 June to protect businesses from vandalism during demonstrations
