No injuries reported after single round fired while officer was unloading 9mm CF98-A pistol in designated area
A Hong Kong police officer’s semi-automatic firearm accidentally discharged at the force’s headquarters in Wan Chai on Tuesday afternoon.
The officer was unloading his weapon in a designated area inside the Arsenal Street premises when a single round was accidentally fired, a police spokesman said.
No injuries were reported.
The Post has learned that the gun was a 9mm CF98-A pistol from an officer in the force’s Hong Kong Island emergency unit.
