President Donald Trump on Monday marked the signing of a new trade deal with the United Kingdom at the G7 summit in Canada, but the announcement with Prime Minister Keir Starmer quickly went off the rails.
As Trump announced they had “just signed a document,” the papers slipped from his folder and fell to the ground.
“Sorry about that,” Trump said, while Starmer scrabbled around gathering the papers. “A very important document,” Starmer chuckled.
Trump then said it was “a little windy out here,” despite it not appearing so.
“Give me that...” he continued, adding: “We just signed it and it’s done, and so we have our trade agreement with the European Union. And it’s a fair deal for both.”
