The IDF says that an Israeli soldier – Staff Sergeant Naveh Leshem, aged 20, from the West Bank settlement of Nokdim – was killed in combat in the southern Gaza Strip.
Leshem was a soldier in the 12th Battalion, Golani Brigade, according to the IDF Spokesperson's Unit.
According to the military, a combat officer and three soldiers from the 12th Battalion of the Golani Brigade were seriously injured in the same incident in which Leshem was killed.
On Sunday, Captain Tal Movshovitz from the Golani Brigade was also killed in combat in southern Gaza. Movshovitz, 28, from Reut in central Israel, was killed by an explosive device in Khan Yunis. He is survived by his wife and two children. He was a graduate of the Bnei Akiva yeshiva in Modi'in, the son of Hava, a math teacher in the educational institute.
