June 15 (UPI) -- Arthur Folasa Ah Loo, 39, has died as the result of a gunshot wound he sustained Saturday in a shooting during a protest against President Donald Trump in Salt Lake City. It came hours after two Democratic lawmakers in Minnesota were shot dead by a gunman.
Folasa Ah Loo was unintentionally struck by fire from a designated peacekeeper who had drawn his weapon to defend against a potential attack by a man who was moving toward the crowd with a rifle.
One of the peacekeepers fired shots that struck the perpetrator, identified as Arturo Gamboa, 24, and, unintentionally, Folasa Ah Loo, police told local media.
The "No Kings" protest, one of many that took place across the United States, was attended by some 10,000 people, according to preliminary estimates from the Salt Lake City Police Department.
