Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stood at 128.30 feet (permissible level is 142 ft.) with an inflow of 712 cusecs and a discharge of 1,200 cusecs. In Vaigai dam, the level stood at 60.37 ft. (the maximum level is 71 ft.) with an inflow of 859 cusecs and a discharge of 69 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 5,730.98 mcft. The rainfall recorded in the 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Friday was (in mm): Mullaperiyar dam 9, Thekkadi 6, Veerapandi 4.2, Uthamapalayam 2.6, Shanmuganadhi dam 2 and Gudalur 1.8.
