Before this weekend's conference hosted by the Paris Peace Forum, timed just ahead of and in support of the French–Saudi initiative in New York, and with stakes as high in Gaza as they have ever been – we need to reckon with a truth we rarely explore head on, something I've long needed to say as a Palestinian: These spaces, yes, even those within the international peacebuilding industry, are shaped by power.
