Residents in a quiet city suburb have been left baffled after a series of large green spots appeared on their road overnight.
Multiple colourful dots appeared on Greville Road in the Southville area of Bristol overnight, with no explanation or reason as to their purpose.
Even the local council have no idea who is responsible for the circles or why they have appeared, appearing to confirm it was not carried out by their staff.
Three clusters of the markings appeared in the middle and at each end of the road.
Residents have suggested the markings, which range in size from around 30cm to 1.2m wide, could be a form of street art or an effort to make drivers slow down.
