Ending a 49-day vacation, schools in Telangana are all set to reopen for Classes 1 to 10 for the academic year 2025-26 on Thursday.

For the first time, the State government has also decided to deliver “early childhood care and education” and run pre-primary sections. The initiative is under Samagra Shiksha, the integrated scheme for school education, and the aim is to ensure the preschoolers are ready for Class 1 in the next academic year. Pre-primary will be launched in the districts of Hanumakonda, Jagtial, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Kamareddy, Karimnagar, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Mulugu, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Peddapalli, Siddipet and Warangal.
