A26-year-old 'acrobatic construction' worker fell to his death while doing maintenance work on a building in Lecce, Puglia, on Wednesday in the latest in a long spate of fatal workplace accidents in Italy.
The victim, Romanian national Razvan Iulian Gurau, fell from a height of seven meters.
According to reports, the rope he was hanging from broke, causing him to fall from the fourth floor.
An attempt by a 22-year-old colleague to hold him back was in vain.
After failing to catch him, the young man punched a wall in anger, breaking his hand.
