Car production fell 47.5% in Italy in April, sector group ANFIA said Tuesday.
"The Italian automotive production index remains in double-digit decline also in April (-17.6%)," said Gianmarco Giorda, general director of ANFIA, in light of Istat data.
"After the slight improvement in March, the index of motor vehicle manufacturing returns to a sharp decline (-30%) due to the decrease recorded, according to preliminary data from ANFIA, by the production of cars, -47.5%, for a total of approximately 17 thousand units produced, while the index of the production of parts and accessories for motor vehicles and their engines recovers and closes at -6.4%", Giorda said.
