According to a report by The Times, the ministers would be banned from entering the United Kingdom, in addition to financial sanctions. 'Britain already tried once to prevent us from settling our ancestral homeland and we won't let it do so again,' responded Smotrich

The United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Norway announced in a joint statement Tuesday that they are imposing sanctions on Israeli far-right ministers Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich, "for their repeated incitement of violence against Palestinian civilians."

The five countries charged Ben-Gvir and Smotrich with inciting "extremist violence and serious abuses of Palestinian human rights." They deemed the ministers' actions unacceptable, saying, "This is why we have taken action now – to hold those responsible to account."

"We are steadfastly committed to the two-state solution and will continue to work with our partners towards its implementation," the statement continued. "It is the only way to guarantee security and dignity for Israelis and Palestinians and ensure long term stability in the region, but it is imperilled by extremist settler violence and settlement expansion."

"We will strive to achieve an immediate cease-fire in Gaza, the immediate release of the remaining hostages by Hamas which can have no future role in the governance of Gaza, a surge in aid and a path to a two-state solution," the joint statement added.
