Austria’s Interior Ministry says there are several fatalities but does not specify how many.

In a post on X, police said that the school had been evacuated, and everyone had been taken to a safe meeting point.

They wrote that the situation was “secured” and there is no longer believed to be any danger.

Police said the shots were fired at the secondary school around 10 am (0800 GMT), with special units quickly responding to the scene.

The Interior Ministry says there were several fatalities following the shooting at the school in Graz, but did not specify how many.
