Inspirational business owners were awarded a combined £300,000 as part of the 17th annual Stelios Awards for Disabled Entrepreneurs at a ceremony in London's South Kensington this week. The life-changing initiative by Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou is supported by Leonard Cheshire, a leading disability charity.
Proudly taking the award's top prize was Umbreen David of Hoama Group Ltd. Fuelled by a passion to care for others, the businesswoman owns and runs Iden Manor Nursing Home in Kent and has secured £150,000 in cash grants which will go towards improving accessibility in the home.
