Mumbai train accident: Four dead after falling off local train due to overcrowding

Four commuters were killed after falling off a train heading to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus near Mumbra on Monday (June 9, 2025). According to preliminary information, around 13 passengers fell off a local train near Mumbra railway station, with four losing their lives, while nine are injured. The railway administration and police have reached the spot and the injured are taken to the nearest hospital. Meanwhile, police are investigating into the accident.” Following the Mumbra train accident in Mumbai, the Railway Board has stated that all rakes under manufacturing for Mumbai Suburban will have automatic door closer facilities.

Bengaluru stampede: Karnataka HC to hear RCB, DNA petitions challenging criminal cases against them on June 10

The High Court of Karnataka will hear petitions by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and DNA Entertainment Networks Private Limited challenging criminal cases against them in the Bengaluru stadium stampede incident on June 10. Earlier on June 9, Royal Challengers Bengaluru moved the High Court seeking to quash the criminal case against the team in the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium stampede that claimed 11 lives. DNA Entertainment Networks Private Limited, the event organiser, filed a separate petition challenging the FIR against the company. The High Court heard the matter after noon, and the petitioners were told that they would be heard on June 10. Royal Challengers Sports Limited, owner of RCB, has contended that the company has been falsely implicated in the case.
