Terry Moran, a senior national correspondent for ABC News, has been suspended over a controversial social media post about Stephen Miller, President Donald Trump's deputy chief of staff for policy.

An ABC News spokesperson told USA TODAY on June 8 that Moran has been suspended after he wrote on X that Miller is "a man who is richly endowed with the capacity for hatred" and that Trump is a "world-class hater."

"ABC News stands for objectivity and impartiality in its news coverage and does not condone subjective personal attacks on others," the spokesperson said. "The post does not reflect the views of ABC News and violated our standards − as a result, Terry Moran has been suspended pending further evaluation."
