Parents of the doctor who was raped and killed while on duty at Kolkata’s R.G. Kar Medical College and Hospital in August last year have expressed dissatisfaction with the manner in which the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has handled the probe.
“We are unhappy with how the CBI has probed the case. We do not think their investigation was fair or accurate. While they named only one person in their chargesheet, we believe more people were involved. We will not rest till the larger conspiracy behind our daughter’s deaths is brought to light,” the victim’s father told The Hindu on Saturday (June 7, 2025). The victim’s family has changed the legal counsel for their case. They are now being represented by senior advocate Phiroze Edulji.
